The Kambule is a powerful manifestation of our commitment to the protection of our legacy of culture, spirituality, beauty, royalty, pride and growth, which can positively impact on the development of our younger generations.

EMANCIPATION DAY
Emanciaption Day, August 1, is a day of celebration and numerous activities. A feature of every emancipation day programme is a guest lecture by a noted international scholar, intellectual or activist.

Flambeau Procession
The Flambeau Procession brings the curtain down on events of the week long activities of every Emancipation celebrations. Hundreds of lit flambeaux held aloft light up the night sky as participants energised by the pulsating rhythms of the drums proceed from the centre of activities the Lidj Yasu Omowale to various points of reflection.
