Over the years, numerous internationally known scholars, educators and artistes have participated in Emancipation Celebrations in Trinidad and Tobago. Each year visitors to the Lidj Yasu Omawale Village can look forward to exciting performances and in-depth presentations from an array of intenrational and local participants.

Artistes that have performed at this truly Pan-African Festival include Lorraine Klaasen, Jabu Khanyile, the National Ballet of Senegal and many more, while our guest speakers have included Professor Ali Muzui (Director- Institute of Global Cultural Studies), Her excellency Gertrude Ibengwe Mongella (President - First Pan African Parliament and former United Nations Assistant Sec. General) and Kase Lawal (CEO CAMAC Holdings Inc).
